In the spring of 1983 I did my first cover for ART IN AMERICA and quickly found myself going to Detroit to work on their video for MTV. I was asked to do some animation and backdrops and then was asked to be in the video! yes that’s me the bearded guy painting with the big sunglasses did not think much of it until it started getting heavy rotation and my mom was inviting all the people in the neighborhood to see me on TV!
